Shufty lists what the public record says about UK businesses, so you can have a look at one before you hire it.
For every business we publish the things that are already a matter of public record: when it was incorporated, its company number, its registered office, what it tells Companies House it does, and whether its accounts are filed and up to date. Where a business has published a description of itself in a partner directory, we quote it. Where it publishes contact details on its own website, we link to them. Every fact on every page names its source and the date it was read.
We do not rate, rank or recommend anyone. There is no score on any page, no best-of list, and no way to buy your way to the top of one. We are not a regulator and being listed here is not an endorsement, a licence or a qualification — it only means the business exists on the register.
We do not collect or host reviews. Where a business has reviews elsewhere, we link to them so you can read them at the source.

The people behind Chivvy Ltd also run accountancy and professional services businesses, some of which are on the public register and so appear here like any other business.
That connection buys them nothing. They get the same page as everybody else, built from the same public sources, and there is no ranking for them to be placed at the top of. If we ever sell featured placement it will be labelled as paid wherever it appears, ours included.
Public data goes out of date. If a listing is wrong, claim it and correct it, or ask us to take it down.
